Clinical Tools —NMM™ Homeostatic Reset Keys

What Are Homeostatic Reset Keys (HRKs)?

Homeostatic Reset Keys (HRKs) are simply:

Hand‑charts that show the exact STS locations required to unlock a specific diseased zone (DZ).

Think of HRKs as guided missile bullets: targeted, precise, and designed to hit the exact DZ that needs to be reset. The NMM mechanism is the gun; HRKs are what make it fire with purpose.

The NMM Classroom provide reading materials that help you understand the mechanism of that gun:

But without bullets, even the most sophisticated gun cannot be used.

HRKs are purchased separately. This separation is intentional:

  • Some learners only want the mechanism and already have their own trigger‑site system.

  • Some want only HRKs for fast clinical workflow.

  • Many want both, but at their own pace.

More Metaphors That Explain the Role of HRKs

The Car Key Metaphor

You may learn every function of a car—brakes, wheels, lights, gas tank—even some mechanical principles. But without the car key, none of that knowledge can be used to drive.

The HRK is the key. The Classroom teaches how the car works; the HRK is what actually starts the DZ‑unlocking process.

This metaphor reinforces the idea that mechanism knowledge is not enough; you need the clinical access point.

The Treasure House Metaphor

You may learn every detail inside a treasure house—the layout, the rooms, the items. But without the key to open the door, all that knowledge remains theoretical.

The HRK is the key to the treasure house. The Classroom teaches what is inside; the HRK is what allows you to access the DZ and begin the reset.

This metaphor emphasizes that theoretical understanding becomes clinically usable only when the correct access point is known.
