Making status quo medicine fast-effective, precise, reliable, safe and proventive.

The Founder

Brook Cheng, PhD || Founder of Neural Modulation Medicine (NMM)™ || Author of the NMM™ Protocols.

"Craaaazy!', "What's the heck?", or "Are you a magician!?"

I hear this every day. A patient lies on my treatment table, always face up fully dressed only socks off. I inserted a few tiny needles on their hands or feet. Within three seconds, they stare at me, puzzled, perplexed... I always say: "There is no Crazy. No Magician. No secret potions either. It is the self-healing power of your own body evoked by precise nerve stimulation that jump-started the healing in your body instantly."

The Science of Universal Homeostasis

The root of health conditions, whether MSK, hormonal, immunological, or internal, is the same: a homeostatic drift. The current neurology science allows me to say NEURAL MODULATION acts as the CEO of Homeostasis. I have identified techniques to instruct the CEO to correct the drifted modulation, by applying targeted physical stimulation to specific sensory receptive fields.

A right trigger can "jump-start" the CEO to send corrective instructions to any specific "department"—be it the gut, the heart, the lymph nodes, the spleen, the exocrine or endocrine glands.

The Scope of NMM™

Neural Modulation Medicine (NMM)™ uses sensory neural triggers which function as a high-fidelity biological switch. This switch turns on the corrective process of Neural Modulation --the CEO of homeostasis. The applications of NMM™ are nearly universal as the CEO controls all departments of the body.

The Journey

A Journey of Critical Thinking: My path to NMM™ was shaped by a unique combination of roles always sustained by an independent, curious and critical mind-set:

Research Scientist (Phytopathology): Analyzing how life defends itself at a cellular level.

Electrician & Mechanic: Mastering the logic of circuits, charge flow, and "broken" systems.

The "Barefoot Farmer": Observing the raw, resilient power of nature's self-regulation.

Though I first time inserted an acupuncture needle on a patient in the 1970s, it wasn't until the late 2010s that I became a "standardized" or "formalized" acupuncturist. During the last eight years of clinical practice, I gradually "sharpened up" my diverse experiences into the stage of NMM™ system establishment.

Toward An Ideal Medicine

Medicine should not be a science of "probability" or "uncertainty". I am now dedicated to sharing the NMM™ Clinical Protocols with fellow clinicians—MDs, PTs, Chiros, Osteos, nurses, and any specialists who are frustrated with the status quo and are ready to move from clinical exhaustion to >95% clinical certainty.
